POLICE are appealing for information after two young people were robbed in a 'vicious and nasty attack' in their car.

A group of five Eastern European men pulled a terrified 19-year-old woman from her car before grabbing a SatNav and a mobile phone from the car in College Road, Bromley, on Saturday, May 9.

The victim and her 18-year-old male friend had spotted the group when they left the Railway Tavern pub at 10.45pm as they walked to their car in East Street.

The group of men were parked in a silver Vauxhall Astra, with a partial registration of V207, directly outside of the pub.

As they got in their car, the group tried to get them out of the vehicle but the female driver managed to turn her Fiat Seicento around and escape.

But the group caught up with them when they had to stop at a traffic light at College Road and surrounded the car kicking it and shouting at them to hand over their phones.

One of them smashed the driver's window, pulling the victim from her car and grabbing the Sat Nav system and her mobile phone which he later dropped and left.

They then sped off across Tweedy Road and back onto College Road towards Downham. The woman was treated for cuts to her arm.

The suspect who smashed the window was of Turkish or Eastern European appearance, aged between 18 to 20, about 6ft, slim to medium build. The other four suspects were Eastern European also aged between 18 to 20.

Call detective constable Gavin Pitcher on 020 8284 8785.
