Drugs seized in swoop

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of cocaine and cannabis was found during a police swoop on a one-bedroom flat.

Police raided the flat in Maple Leaf Close, Biggin Hill at 7.40pm last Friday and found cannabis worth £2,500 and cocaine worth £2,000 as well as £3,500 cash and drug paraphernalia.

Charles Simmonds, 23, who lives at the address, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply the following day. He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court on Monday.

A 23-year-old woman who was also arrested at the scene has been bailed to return to Bromley Police Station on February 27 pending further enquiries.
