A 30-year-old man suffered life threatening injuries after crashing his Mercedes into a lamp post in Keston last night.

The driver was rushed to King’s College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, after emergency services were called to the scene, in Westerham Road, at around 11pm. He remains in intensive care.

His passenger, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to the same hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Their vehicle was the only one involved in the collision, colliding with a lamp post and the brick pillar of a house while travelling towards Biggin Hill.
