Driver attacked with kitchen knife in Orpington High Street

There have been no arrests so far

Police are appealing for witnesses after a knife-wielding man launched an attack in Orpington High Street.

The suspect is thought to have made a comment to a 47-year-old man who was driving a truck along the busy road at around 11.30am on Thursday, September 14.

Following the comment, the suspect then launched his attack, stabbing his victim under the arm.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “London Ambulance Service paramedics were called and treated the man at the scene.

“The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s wearing a black hooded tracksuit with a black bag.

“Anyone with information or any witnesses are urged to call police on 101 or by tweeting @MetCC. To give information anonymously, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
