Pet-owners who think they have prima-donna pooches are invited to audition their pet for a walk-on role at the Churchill Theatre.

Mischief Theatre in collaboration with The Churchill Theatre on High Street, Bromley, are looking for theatrical dogs to play a walk on or carry on role in their comedy The Play That Goes Wrong, playing at the Churchill Theatre from Monday February 3 to Saturday February 8.

If you think your dog has what it takes to tread the boards at The Playhouse then tweet a picture to @mischiefcomedy and @The_Churchill with the hashtag #BromleyPupIdol or send an email with a photograph attachment to

A commitment to attend at least two performances would be required. The dog’s owners will receive a pair of complementary tickets to see the show on their dog’s night off and a complementary family ticket for four people for one of their dog’s performances. Owners must be prepared to accompany their prize pet back-stage in the theatre.

The winner will be picked on January 29.

The Play That Goes Wrong has been nominated for the Award for the TICKETMASTER Best New Comedy 2014.

Currently running in the West End, it follows the story of the inept Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they embark on producing an ambitious 1920s murder mystery.
