Patrolling police officers may have got a son in some trouble at home after he was caught driving his father’s Ferrari without insurance.
While walking the beat on Wednesday morning, two officers spotted the flash black supercar pull into a petrol station in Widmore Road at around 9.30am.
A quick check revealed the driver, a 28-year-old man, did not have the proper insurance to drive the Italian motor, and had in fact taken it from his dad, who is thought to be on holiday.
Police seized the vehicle, and pictured it being loaded onto a flatbed truck, before posing beside it for one last picture.
The car is believed to be a Ferrari California, which has a starting price of £154,314.
Bromley police posted the pictures on to its Twitter account @MPSBromley, with the caption: “Don’t take dad’s Ferrari without the right insurance.
“No Insurance = No Car!”
