A PREGNANT woman was hospitalised after being robbed while walking her dog.

Police are appealing for information about the incident which happened at around 10.15am on August 12 in Wessex Court, in Beckenham Road, Beckenham.

Two men, both aged around 22 and described as scruffy, approached the three-month pregnant victim, also aged 22, and demanded cash.

They grabbed her handbag and pulled it from her shoulder causing the woman to fall to the ground while they ran off with around £20 in cash.

The victim was taken to University Hospital Lewisham, suffering an injured hand, grazed elbows and back pains.

She was later transferred to Guy's Hospital, where she was kept in overnight for observation before getting the all clear.

The first suspect, who was bitten on the leg by the victim's dog during the robbery, was mixed race, approximately 5ft 6ins tall with short black hair, stubble and was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey hooded top with the hood up.

The second man was white, around 5ft 11ins tall, with light brown hair, and was wearing dark blue or black jeans, a black jumper and black Lacrosse TM trainers.

Anyone with any information should contact Detective Chief Inspector Chris Roffe at Bromley Police's robbery squad on 020 8284 9969 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
