David Bowie has been nominated for two Brit Awards 30 years after scooping his first.
The former Beckenham schoolboy, who turned 67 this week, takes on the cream of Britain’s rising musical crop in the best album and best male categories.
He will jostle for the best album award with the likes of Bastille, Arctic Monkeys, Disclosure and Rudimental - who between them have released just eight albums in total, compared with the Starman’s 25.
In the best male category he faces competition from the likes of Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell - all at least 40 years his junior.
Bowie surprised the music industry with his unexpected return last year with The Next Day - which earned him a Mercury Prize nomination.
The Brit Awards take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 19.
