A creative heritage project at Crystal Palace Park in Bromley will conclude with a free public event held at the park.
On Saturday, July 7, from 11am to 1pm, the outcomes of Architecture for All’s Design and Build: The History of Crystal Palace Park will be presented, along some creative activities for families.
Funded by Bromley Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund, Design and Build is delivering workshops in the park with pupils from Churchfields Primary, young people from Anerley Town Hall Youth Club and members of Silverfit Crystal Palace’s Nordic Walkers group.
Each is working with an architect to create ideas for new structures for the park.
Churchfields Primary School teacher Sarah Killian said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to work with their classmates on a project that they will get to create, design, and build.”
Design and Build is also hosting free, guided tours of Crystal Palace Park’s landscape architecture on Sunday June 24 and Sunday July 1.
