A NEIGHBOURHOOD watch scheme has been launched after residents voiced concern about anti-social behaviour.

The scheme, organised by PCSO Matt Lane, covers the Mountfield estate, in St Mary Cray.

Mr Lane canvassed support for the scheme by carrying out letter drops and visiting homes.

He said: "We have been working hard with residents, the council and Affinity Sutton Housing to get this scheme launched. The response has been phenomenal.

"By setting up the new scheme and working closely with the community we will be able to further reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and very much put the fear of crime back with the criminal.
