Crime stats show 'milestone' for Crays regeneration says Orpington MP Jo Johnson

Violent crime has fallen by 37 per cent in the Cray Valley East ward marking "another milestone in the regeneration of the Crays", according to Orpington MP Jo Johnson.

The release of the 2012 crime figures for the Orpington constituency showed incidents dropped by a total of 4.5 per cent, with crimes in Cray Valley East falling by 11 per cent in total.

Mr Johnson said: “The results from Cray Valley East ward were the most welcome of all.

“The results are testament to the leadership of Det Ch Supt Steph Roberts, as well as all the police, safer neighbourhood teams and community groups that have done so much for local residents.”
