Teenage boy charged with possession of MDMA as officers investigate death of Emily Lyon

Detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 17-year-old girl have charged a teenager.

Emily Lyon, from Teddington in Richmond-upon-Thames, was taken ill at a concert in the O2 in June and later died.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with possession of MDMA with intent to supply.

The teenager was arrested in Kingston on Saturday, June 18.

He has been bailed to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court, sitting as a youth court, on November 25.
