Crews tackle 20-ton rubbish fire in West Wickham

Around 20 firefighters were at the scene

Around 20 firefighters were called to a rubbish fire in West Wickham yesterday afternoon.

Four fire engines were called to the scene on Layhams Road, where around 20 tons of rubbish was destroyed.

Crews were called at 3.57pm and brought the fire under control at 6.58pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
