A CONVICTED fraudster has been ordered to pay assets totalling £7,000 to police.

Sean Lee, of Coventry Road, Croydon, was sentenced to 21 months in jail in September last year after pleading guilty to fraud offences at Croydon Crown Court.

Mr. Lee was arrested in The Glades, Bromley, when police spotted him shortly after using a fraudulent credit card to buy an expensive watch.

He was charged after a police investigation discovered he had used stolen cash and credit cards to pay for Rolex watches at Ernest Jones jewellers in the shopping centre, as well as purchases at a branch at Lakeside.

Officers from the borough's financial investigation unit were able to bring about the confiscation under the Proceeds of Crime Act last Thursday (February 25).
