The cordon lasted around two hours

Motorists faced disruption near Bromley town centre on Sunday after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

London Ambulance Service was called to Westmoreland Road, near Queen Anne Avenue at around 8am on Sunday, where they treated a man in his 40s for a leg injury.

The injury is not thought to be life threatening.

Met Police was called by paramedics already at the scene and officers set up a cordon, closing the road.

A spokesperson from Scotland Yard said: “We were called at 8.07am to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian was taken to a south London hospital and the road was reopened at around 10am.”

Met Police confirmed no arrests were made following the crash, which happened less than a mile from Bromley Police Station.
