FRIENDS have paid tribute to a couple killed in a car crash over the bank holiday weekend.
Former Addington High School pupil Amiee Newton, 17, and her boyfriend Luke, 20, were travelling in a blue Renault Megane along Shire Lane, Farnborough at around 9.20pm on Saturday (11).
Their vehicle clipped the side of the road and spun in to the path of a blue Citroen panel van travelling in the opposite direction. Both were declared dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, friend Jake Carlisle, 18, visited the scene to pay his respects. He said: "Amiee was a lovely girl with loads of friends. I'll never forget her, we had some really good times. It is such a shame."
The driver of the van, a man in his 50s was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Fanrborough, with non-life-threatening injuries.
In a separate incident in the early hours of Monday (13), a 28-year-old man was killed in a crash in Bromley Lane, Chislehurst, at the junction with the war memorial.
He died at the scene when a silver convertible Nissan crashed in to his gold Vauxhall Astra.
Two of his passengers, both men in their early 20s were taken to Kings College Hospital, Camberwell, one in a critical condition and one with serious injuries.
The 28-year-old driver of the Nissan, from Gravesend, was taken to Kings College Hospital, Camberwell with serious but not life threatening injuries.
He was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until July.
Parts of Bromley Road, Centre Common Road, Heathfield Lane and Bromley Lane were closed until 8.55am.
