Celebrations have been held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Guild of Church Flower Arrangers in Bromley.

On June 6, 60 members of the guild gathered in St Mary’s Church to watch Graham Harmer give a demonstration of flower arranging and create several designs that included plenty of gold plant material.

Chairman Eve Johnson cut the cake, and attendees enjoyed tea with cakes provided by the team from St Mary’s.

The guild was inaugurated in 1966 at St Mary’s Shortlands to further the knowledge of flower arranging in churches and places of worship of all denominations.
