Stephen Lawrence’s killers have failed in the first attempt to overturn their convictions.
Gary Dobson, 36, and David Norris, 35, formerly of Berryfield Close, Chislehurst, are serving life sentences for murdering the 18-year-old in Eltham in 1993.
The Court of Appeal refused to grant leave to appeal.
The pair were found guilty in January and their trial, the culmination of 18 years of investigation, was estimated to have cost up to £50m.
At the time of the murder David Norris lived with his mother and father and two brothers at the large mock Tudor house in Berryfield Close, bought for £350,000 in 1988 with the proceeds of his dad Clifford Norris’s drugs cartel.
His father went on the run in 1988 but was caught in 1994 and went on to serve a nine-and-a-half-year sentence.
