A Chislehurst school is looking for former students to help create an alumni community and support current pupils.

Coopers School, Hawkwood Lane, Chislehurst, is one of more than 450 state schools and colleges across Britain which have registered with the charity Future First to set up networks of former students.

More than 60,000 former students across the UK have signed up to stay connected with their old schools.

This could be as career and education role models, mentors or e-mentors, work experience providers, governors, donors or fundraisers.

Penny Burge, Alumni Coordinator at the school, said: “We were delighted to welcome Alumni to the opening of the Mary Anderson Centre, the former mansion house, after a £3 million refurbishment last year and we hope to reconnect with more of the Coopers community this year. We would like to invite you to share in our news and events through our bi-annual newsletter and well as benefiting from your valuable experience which will be vital in helping us to broaden current pupils’ jobs horizons and equip them for the world of work.”
