And one volunteer has been there since it opened

A charity shop in Hayes is celebrating its 25th birthday this month.

And volunteer Vera Hale has been helping out at the Sense store, which raises funds to help children and adults who are deaf and blind, since it opened in June 1990.

Shop manager Rachel Jefferies said: “We are so grateful to the community for helping us raise money for the work Sense does.

“It is an extremely rewarding and fun job and the team is very friendly and dedicated.

“We hope to be around for at least another 25 years and to keep offering bargains and vintage gems!”

The store, at 43 Station Approach, is always looking for donations and volunteers. For more information call Rachel on 020 8462 2160.
