STAFF at an opticians have selected a guide dog charity as its beneficiary and hopes to raise enough money to fund 25 new puppies.

STAFF at an opticians have selected a guide dog charity as its beneficiary and hopes to raise enough money to fund 25 new puppies.

Specsavers in High Street, Beckenham has been collecting donations since Monday when Guide Dog Week began and will be doing so for the foreseeable future. The charity Guide Dog which provides help for blind and partially sighted people, was chosen as the charity partner for the store for the next year. Beckenham store director, Premal Patel, said: "Our staff are really enthusiastic about raising the profile of Guide Dogs and the support it offers.
