CCTV appeal over Beckenham Junction train ‘inappropriate touching’

A woman from Bromley reported a man sitting close to her as he “touched himself indecently”, British Transport Police (BTP) said.
Pc Michael Blakeburn, a BTP officer investigating the incident, said the woman had been “understandably disgusted by his actions and moved away before calling police”.
He added that police were pursuing several lines of enquiry in relation to the “totally unacceptable and inappropriate” behaviour, which took place on a service between Beckenham Junction and Herne Hill.
“As part of these enquiries, we have obtained an image of a man we believe could help us with our investigation and are calling on the public to help us identify him,” he said.
“If you know the man, or his whereabouts, then please contact us.”
Call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, and in both cases quote B2/LSA of 12/07/2013. Alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
