Caravan destroyed by fire in Keston as investigation gets underway

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire which tore through a set of caravans on Friday afternoon.

Crews from Addington, Beckenham, Bromley and Orpington were all called to Layhams Road in Keston just before 1.15pm to reports of the blaze.

The fire destroyed one caravan and left two more slightly damaged.

All of the caravans were being used for storage, and there were no reports of injuries in the fire.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters tackled the blaze, with the fire under control at 3.07pm.
