Motoring enthusiasts enjoyed a day dedicated to all things car-related at the Bromley Pageant of Motoring on Sunday (June 5).
The bright summer’s day was the ideal weather in which to enjoy events such as the Best of British display, the UK’s top mountain bike stunt team and exhibitions of vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
British racing legend Derek Bell, a five-time Le Mans winner, joined the pageant to chat about his life in motoring and held meet and greet sessions with fans.
Former Top Gear presenter Sue Baker was also on hand to host several question and answer sessions throughout the day.
Phil Weedon, managing director of event organisers Kelsey Media, said: “The variety and the quality of cars on show are always of a high standard.
“As a car enthusiast, it was great seeing ex-Top Gear presenter Sue Baker interviewing Derek Bell.
“I went to a Q and A session and sat down like an avid car fan and watched them discussing Derek’s successes.
“She was also questioned about her time on Top Gear and her thoughts on the current Top Gear format.”
Kelsey Media had taken over the running of the pageant for this year’s event, and Mr Weedon described it as a ‘learning year’.
He admitted the sunny weather had caused some traffic problems in the area, particularly along the A21.
“We know there are traffic problems and we know there are things we can do to alleviate them for next year,” he added.
