Cannon Street closure to cause weekend disruption for Southeastern passengers

A reduced service will be in place while trains will not run to certain stations

Engineering work between London Cannon Street and New Cross / Charlton is set to cause problems for Kent commuters this weekend.

During the work on Saturday and Sunday, no trains will run to or from London Cannon Street, causing disruption to several lines.

On Saturday, trains will run every half hour between Charing Cross and Hayes, while another half hour service will run between New Cross and Hayes.

On Sunday, trains will not run along the Hayes line with Cannon Street. Alternative trains will be available between Charing Cross and Lewisham.

Services between the London terminal and Dartford / Plumstead will be amended to run between New Cross and Dartford only, calling at all stations via Woolwich Arsenal.

There will be no train service between Cannon Street and Charlton via Greenwich, with buses running between New Cross and Charlton.

No trains will run between Cannon Street and Orpington / Sevenoaks.

Tickets will be valid on London Underground services.

If you are travelling between Lewisham and Hither Green you will be able to use London Buses on routes 225 and 273 between these stations at no extra cost.
