The money will be spent on building work for a new hub

Plans to create a base for disabled people to receive a range of training and employment opportunities are in need of local support.

Bromley Mencap needs £20,000 to develop a community hub at The Lodge in Norman Park.

The charity hopes to extend the building to create two new training rooms, a workshop, a catering facility, refurbishment, security and landscaping.

Once works are complete, the charity claims the centre will ‘lead to individuals gaining qualifications and enhance their independence and life chances.’

To donate to the scheme, visit Bromley Mencap’s fundraising website, here.

The charity is offering rewards for anyone who donates, ranging from free coffee, to catering courses and even plaques on site to recognise key supporters.
