Burst water main forces council to close Shire Lane and Polesteeple Hill

Thames Water are currently working to repair the damage and a diversion has been put in place

Bromley council are warning drivers to steer clear of Shire Lane and Polesteeple Hill because burst water main.

Shire Lane is currently closed to traffic due to the incident. Thames Water will be making repairs to both the road and to the burst water main.

Precise details about repair timetables are not clear as yet, but more information from the council will follow.

At Polesteeple Hill’s junction with Mount Pleasant, Thames Water are making repairs to restore water supply locally, and also to repair the road.

Road signs, including access only signs are bring put at junction of Polesteeple Hill and Stock Hill.

The diversion is from Stock Hill, left into Sunningvale Avenue then left into Polesteeple Hill - this will be sending traffic the wrong way up Polesteeple Hill until the work is completed.
