A dream Florida holiday is about to become a reality for one Bromley youngster after a charity granting the wishes of sick children received a large donation.

Alicia Gordon, 11, underwent cancer treatment last year and will have her bravery rewarded when her wish of riding The Simpsons simulator at Universal Studios is granted.

She is one of eight children whose wishes will now be fulfilled by Dial-a-Dream, after they received £25,000 from generous sportsmen at Wanstead Golf Club, in east London.

Charity founder, Bob Heath, said: “For Alicia this is pay back for the hassle and problems she has been through with her illness.

“We’re hoping to get the whole family out to America before the summer.”
