Tags attached to hundreds of balloons released from Bromley's Churchill Theatre have been returned from as far as Italy and France.

To celebrate National Panto Day, on December 7, around 200 balloons were released by the cast of Cinderella with tags attached offering the chance to win a small prize.

Anyone who found a balloon simply had to fill in the attached tag and return it to the theatre, in Bromley High Street.

Last week, three tags were finally returned - one from France and two from Italy.

Sarah Guppy, theatre manager, said: “It’s so exciting that our pantomime has gone world wide and we are thrilled at how successful this years pantomime has been.”

Each of the people that replied will now receive a goodie bag as a thank you.

National Panto Day was founded by Simon Sladen, in 2011, and has since gone from strength to strength.

Cinderella, starring ex-Eastenders star Matt Lapinskas and Daybreak’s Anna Williamson, runs in Bromley until Sunday, January 5.

Tickets cost from £15 to £26.50, call 0844 871 7620, or visit atgtickets.com/bromley.
