The Churchill Theatre has raised more than £5,000 for a charity that helps support injured firefighters return to work.

The Fire Fighters Charity collected a cheque from the theatre, in Bromley High Street, last week.

McDonalds worked alongside the theatre to help with fundraising activities held throughout December and January. Collections were held in the foyer, plus children had the chance to have their picture taken with Blaze the Bear when he visited The Churchill during panto season.

Hannah Duggan, of the Fire Fighters Charity, said: “We were overwhelmed with the generosity of your theatre goers and the tremendous efforts of your staff.

“This money will make a hugh difference to the fire and rescue community in their time of need.”
