An aspiring football commentator saw his dreams come true on Monday as he took the microphone for the Championship play-off final beside BBC Sport’s Jacqui Oatley.

Damilola Oluokun, 15, from Bromley, spent the day with Jacqui and received a tour of Wembley Stadium before settling down for a one-on-one masterclass as part of the npower What’s Your Goal? campaign.

After taking on board advice from his mentor, Damilola was let loose in the commentary box to oversee the match which saw Crystal Palace beat Watford in extra-time.

He said: “I’m so happy that I won the npower What’s Your Goal? competition. Spending the day with Jacqui Oatley at Wembley was a once in a lifetime experience, and certainly one I will never forget.”
