The pair will be trying to prove they have that star quality

Bromley vocal duo The Rise will appear on this weekend’s episode of BBC 1 smash hit, The Voice.

The group is made of two best friends who have been singing together for a decade. Michael Gazzard and Anthony Goldsbrough - both Beckenham residents - make up the group and have performed as backing singers for Peter Andre and Jedward. The pair were also on Eurovision 2013, appearing as part of Bonnie Tyler’s show.

The pair are now trying to hit the big time, and have decided to take part in The Voice in order to be guided by the star judges.
