A 15-year-old schoolgirl has made the next round of a teen talent competition with her cover Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work.

Abi Hudson, a Bromley High School pupil, sang the hit at London’s Dingwalls venue earlier this month.

She will now go through to the area finals on May 18.

Mother Kate Hudson, of Shortlands Road, Bromley, said: “We are absolutely excited for her - it is a really tough competition for her to get through.

“She is an amazing singer but there are a lot of other singers out there too.”

Last year’s TeenStar winner was X Factor finalist Luke Friend.
