Bromley schoolgirl attacker sentenced after bus assault

A 13-year-old girl has been sentenced for assaulting a schoolgirl on board a Bromley bus.

The teenager pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Bromley Youth Court on February 4, and was ordered to attend a youth offender panel for six months.

She was identified after police released CCTV images to local media as part of their appeal.

On Friday, December 6 a 15-year-old was assaulted on the top deck of the 208 bus as it travelled along Bromley Common towards Orpington at around 8.40pm.

The suspect and her group, two females and one male, left the bus at the junction with Stanley Road and ran off towards Bromley Town Centre, having previously boarded the bus outside the 99p store in Bromley High Street.

The 13-year-old was also required to pay £50 compensation to the victim.
