SchooLchildren got into the true spirit of Christmas when they entertained elderly residents and volunteers at a home.

Tuneful youngsters from Parish Primary School, in London Lane, Bromley, gave a carol concert to the folk at Abbeyfield, a supportive retirement home which is also found on London Lane, last Thursday.

Abbeyfield Bromley chairman Adrian Cory said: “Christmas is always a busy time at Abbeyfield,

“This year we were delighted to add carol singing to our programme of events. Our thanks to the Parish Primary School for giving us a really enjoyable afternoon.”

Resident Lucy Broadbent, who was herself a primary school teacher for 40 years, said: “It’s always lovely to hear children perform.”

Abbeyfield Bromley is part of a national charity that aims to support older people.
