A cast of women stripped off to star in a Bromley production of Calendar Girls last week, aiming to raise funds for Leukaemia Research.
The Bromley Little Theatre, in North Street, performed the show which sold out for nine nights in a row.
Real-life Calendar girl Angela Baker sent the group a message to thank them personally. Angela created the first calendar in memory of her late husband, John, and has to date raised more than £1.5million for Leukaemia Research.
The famous “naked” scene required weeks of rehearsal, according to director Paul Campion, who referred to it as “the art of fabulous concealment”.
“We had to choreograph everything so there were no mishaps,” he said. “ Everybody threw themselves into it and we have had a lot of praise. It was a complete success.”
