Bromley resident dies in fire

A man from Bromley died on Friday evening (February 9) following a fire at his flat in Longfield.

Firefighters were called to the incident at 9.03pm, and a very small fire had already been extinguished before the arrival of the Brigade.

The man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service, where he later died.

Fourteen firefighters from Bromley and Beckenham fire stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Unit and the Metropolitan Police.
