Bromley Remembrance Day 2013: List of services across the borough

Bromley borough Remembrance Day services will be taking place on Sunday, November 11.
The Bromley Times will have photographers out and about to capture the morning’s events, which will be attended by veterans, scout and guide groups and local dignitaries.

The Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Ernest and Diane Noad, the chief executive Doug Patterson and Bromley and Chislehurst MP Bob Neill will attend the service in Bromley Parish Church in Church Road. Those attending the service are asked to arrive by 10.45am. After the service, the civic party will proceed to the war memorial in Martins Hill for the wreath laying ceremony.
10.50am, service and wreath laying ceremony at Beckenham War Memorial in High Street Beckenham, lasting about 45 minutes and a parade will follow the service. Those attending this service are asked to arrive at the war memorial by 10.30am.
10.30am, wreath laying and service at St George’s Parish Church, Bickley Park Road, Bickley.
10am, service at St Mark’s Church, Church Road.
10.30am, service at St George’s Chapel, Biggin Hill Airport, with wreath laying in front of the Gate Guardians. At noon the congregations from both services will meet at the war memorial where wreaths will be laid.
Bromley Common and Keston
10am, service at Holy Trinity Church, Church Lane, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial in the churchyard at 11am.
Councillor Ruth Bennett will read a lesson at Keston Parish Church at 10am. followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial in Heathfield Road.
Chelsfield and Pratts Bottom
11am, service at St Martin of Tours (to arrive at 10:30am) during which a wreath will be laid.
Cray Valley East
10am, service in St Mary Cray Parish Church, High Street, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial at 11am.
Cray Valley West
10.30am, service at St Barnabas Church, Rushet Road, at 10:30am.
9.30am, service at St Nicholas Church, The Glebe, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at 11am at the war memorial.
Farnborough and Crofton
10.30am procession from the Lych Gate of St Giles the Abbot Church, Church Road, down to the war memorial.
10.15am, wreath laying at St Paul ’s Church, Crofton Road, Crofton.
Hayes and Coney Hall
10.30am, service at St Mary the Virgin, Hayes Street, followed by a short ceremony at the war memorial in the church grounds.
Mottingham and Chislehurst North
10.45am, service at Mottingham War Memorial.
10am, service at St Edward’s Church, St Keverne Road.
10am, wreath laying ceremony at Orpington War Memorial followed by a service at All Saints Parish Church, Bark Hart Road, at 10.50am. Afterwards the re will be a further wreath laying ceremony at Canadian Corner.
Penge and Cator
10am, service at St John’s Church, Penge High Street, followed by a wreath laying ceremony and service at the memorial opposite the church.
10.30am, service at Holy Trinity Church, Lennard Road, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Memorial.
Petts Wood and Knoll
9.55am, service at St Francis Church, Greencourt Road, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at Petts Wood Memorial, which is expected to take place at approximately 11am.
Plaistow and Sundridge
10am, service at St Andrew’s Church, Burnt Ash Lane.
10.15am, service at St Mary’s Church, Kingswood Road. During the service the congregation will go to the War Memorial at approximately 1045am to observe the silence and lay wreaths.
10.45am, service and wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial at Corkscrew Hill.
