Bromley police have launched a new Twitter feed – @MPSBromley – in a bid to keep the public in touch with their activities.

The feed will act as a route to provide up-to-date information for the local community.

Staff will post updates between 7am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Borough commander Steph Roberts said: “I am delighted that we now have a dedicated Twitter service allowing us to communicate to our residents about the work we do. It is still in its early days but our followers are growing and the response so far has been very positive.”

Followers are reminded that they cannot report crime over Twitter, they must call either 999 for emergencies or 101 for non-emergency calls.
