The pieces, including necklaces, bracelets and earrings could have been taken from homes across south east London, according to Det Con Jim Stokes from Bromley’s CID.

He said: “We are utilising all methods available to us to identify as many victims as possible and return this property back to its rightful owners. “It is our priority to get this property back where it belongs.

“If you believe any of these items do belong to you then we would urge you to give us a call, provide us with a bit more information about the item and we can take it from there.”

All the items can be seen on the Met’s Flickr page - flickr.com/photos/metropolitanpolice – by searching “Bromley recovered property”.

Anyone with information should contact Mr Stokes on 020 8284 8744.
