A group of Beckenham mums had a rock and roll encounter when they bumped into Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and Liam Howlett from The Prodigy during a charity night walk.
Trudi Dawson, Kate Cameron and Kate Sidwell were on the Fight for Sight event when they had a chance meeting with singer Liam, who was celebrating his 40th birthday.
Kate Sidwell, 40, said: “We were expecting to see a few London icons on Friday night but we didn’t think we’d come across Liam Gallagher.
“We’d been walking for hours by then and were very tired, so it was a bit surreal to bump into him on the pavement. He was really charming.”
The mums raised more than £4,500 for the blindness charity by taking on the 15-mile walk. To sponsor them visit www.justgiving.com/beckenhambunnies.
