Independent organistation Bromley Mencap has been shortlisted for the inaugural 2014 National Learning Disabilities Awards.

Bromley Mencap’s mutual carers service is a finalist in the supporting older people with learning disabilities award category.

Eddie Lynch, Chief Executive of Bromley Mencap, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for yet another national award.

“To be shortlisted against stiff competition highlights the value and quality of our wide range of innovative services, the importance of the preventative nature of the services we provide and the excellent work of our staff and volunteers.”

The winners will be announced at a gala evening at Edgbaston Stadium cricket ground on May 16.
