Bromley students displayed art techniques ranging from traditional paitings to iPad drawings at an annual showcase this week.

GCSE students at Bromley High School, in Blackbrook Lane, Bickley took the chance to show off their hard work to fellow classmates and visitors.

Sculptures, photographs and collages are lining the walls in a display described as “stunning” by headteacher, Louise Simpson.

She added: “The work this year was fabulous - with a wide range of media, including some very thought provoking film, textile work and some beautiful furniture that would not look out of place in professional art galleries.”

Student Katie Dulieu, 15, is one of the many students displaying the culmination of two years work and says an major influence on her work is the artist Jenny Saville.

“My work has developed from last year hugely as I went down a completely different route,” said Katie. “Paiting is my favourite type of media, and I feel this also made my work more detailed.

“I cannot wait to continue art for A Level and to see which direction I go in.”
