A volunteer umbrella organisation held its inaugral conference on June 10.

The Friends Forum of Bromley Parks and Green Spaces held the “Working Together” conference to discuss the range of green spaces across the borough and the benefits of working together to manage them.

Half of the parks and green spaces are jointly managed by the Friends group and Bromley Council, with almost £340,000 raised through successful funding applications to help with improvement projects.

Peter Woodward, Chairman of Bromley Friends Forum, said: “The Forum gives a platform to share experience and expertise in a strategic context so we can all learn from each other. If you are interested in joining a friends group, please get in touch.”
