Firefighters scaled new heights when they ascended the reach of Everest during a charity ladder climb at The Glades at the weekend.
Bromley’s red watch covered a distance of 8,848, in aid of three cancer charities- Lymphoma Association, Macmillan and Marie Curie.
The team’s challenge was inspired by a colleague’s battle with the disease.
It involved ascending and descending the 12m ladder 350 times to achieve their goal.
Red watch were due to count the money they had raised when they returned to duty today (Wednesday).
