Caravan destroyed in fire in Gravel Road, Bromley

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to a fire at a builder’s yard in Gravel Road this morning.

A one-storey workshop was damaged by fire and a caravan and an outbuilding were destroyed.

A 15kg propane cylinder, a 5kg propane cylinder and a 5kg oxygen cylinder were cooled to an ambient temperature.

The brigade was called at 3.45am and the fire was under control at 6.23am.

Fire crews from Orpington, Biggin Hill and Addington fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
