Bromley came from two goals down to seal a dramatic late win against a plucky Bishop’s Stortford side to maintain their push for a play off spot.

The hosts found themselves a goal down after Stortford’s Michael Richens curled in a free kick a minute before half time.

Bromley were made to pay for a series of missed chances when three minutes into the second half, the visitors doubled their lead. After a slick passing move around the area, Johnny Herd found space on the edge of the box and curled a shot past the helpless Joe Welch in the Bromley goal.

Nine minutes later, Bromley replied when Joe Wright parried a Pierre Joseph-Dubois shot, but Jay May was on hand to blast home the rebound.

Bromley pushed for an equaliser and soon got their reward. Stortford’s keeper Wright was again the culprit when he spilt Elliot Buchanan’s shot.

Bradley Goldberg was on hand to tap the ball into the net to restore parity.

And ten minutes later, Danny Waldren popped up with the winner, with a glancing header.

Bromley’s final Skrill South game of the season is away to Gosport Borough on Saturday at Privett Park in Hampshire.
