Wig Wednesday at Wallis raises funds for CLIC Sargent

Brightly coloured wigs will adorn the Wallis store in Bromley this week in aid of a children’s charity.

The mannequins in the Intu store will be given a makeover for Wig Wednesday to raise funds for children and young people’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

People all over the country will be wearing wigs for the day and staff at Wallis stores across the country will be dressing up, as the chain has been supporting CLIC Sargent since September.

Retail operations director Carole Simpson said: “Wig Wednesday is a fantastic event and we’re really looking forward to transforming selected mannequins with a host of eye-catching hairpieces.

“Wallis is committed to supporting CLIC Sargent and we know the funds we’ve been raising will go to the fantastic work the charity does.”

Ten children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.
