Bromley care home among best in London

Queen Elizabeth House ranked highly by those it cares for
A care home in Bromley has been ranked among the best in London in a nationwide survey.
Queen Elizabeth House, in Southborough Road, came 8th out of 80 homes surveyed in the Your Care Rating survey, carried out by researchers Ipsos MORI, in which people in homes are asked about the care they receive. Some 1,034 care homes across the UK took part this year.
People were asked about four different aspects of life at the home, entitled Staff And Care, Home Comforts, Choice And Having A Say, and Quality Of Life.
Queen Elizabeth House scored 984 out of 1,000 for Quality Of Life, 940 for Choice And Having A Say, 939 for Staff And Care and 916 for Home Comforts. The national average score was 872.
Paul Newman, chief executive of Greensleeves Homes Trust, which runs the home, said: “Our staff work tirelessly to care for our residents. I am delighted that their excellent, hard work has been publicly recognised.”
