Bromley Brownies helped Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton attempt to create the world’s largest bunting line in aid of Comic Relief.

The girls from the 10th Bromley Pack joined Brownies across the country in crafting their own giant fabric triangle that would be displayed along the 2,200 metre Humber Bridge in Hull.

This was one of presenter Helen Skelton’s Magnificent Seven challenges, that also saw her kick a conversion at Twickenham and fly with the Red Arrows.

The 17 Bromley Brownies also raised £188 for Comic Relief by completing step ups equivalent to the number of steps needed to climb the Statue of Liberty, in New York, and London’s Elizabeth Tower - otherwise known as Big Ben.

Grace Homes, nine, said: “It was a great challenge and we all enjoyed it. We all had fun making mini flags with our initials on to decorate the large bunting and we helped set a world record too. How cool is that?”
